"This is Thunder and Lightning, the Purger form of the Meltdown Unit of Stripes Novapocalypse, the Amiiran who decided to rename himself something silly.
That explains everything, no?
Okay, maybe not. But here's the specifics: This is a weapon system based on an object that a Purger Core was placed on. A Purger Core adds new, destructive properties to any technological object it comes in contact with. Stripes used it on his electric guitar. The added functions revolve around tesla and sonic weaponry, hence the name 'Thunder and Lightning' (A name you'd expect from someone who names himself 'Stripes' ) Next to that, it also functions as a battle axe and a spear of sorts.
It is capable of a wide variety of attacks. I'm not going to cover all of them, but most tesla attacks involve the four lightning rods at the top of the guitar, which can be detached and planted at target points. The disc to the right is the amplifier, which was normally more or less built into the guitar. It is capable of creating powerful sonic bursts, meaning it can be thrown at or past targets and create some nice 'splosions. Of air.
I'm really happy with the final result. The 'lightning strings' came out better than I predicted (I predicted FAILURE) and the design was heavily altered over the course of the design - and I like it much better now. Now to work on the Crusader and Guardian forms...
For the record, YES, I know you can't play on lightning. But this is the magic of SCIENCE!!... fiction. Also, the screws in the neck dig themselves in when the guitar needs to be played or used as a melee weapon so they don't get in the way, the need for which is automatically detected by SCIENCE!!
On an unrelated news, Stripes' face usually looks like he's a part of KISS.
Your lightning's all I need. "
I was told that the lack of a background was the biggest issue with the original, so I tried a render with my CNRCU scene. I have to agree that it adds a lot. I think I'll model a full room for this desk so I can use it for future sci-fi weapons.
The render isn't 100% just yet, but considering the HUEG render time, it'll be a while before this is finalised anyway.
I know you requested critique, but I'm not a premium member so I cannot give that. However, I can comment.
The lighting and environment definitely add a feel of depth to the guitar, as well as make the details on the guitar and speaker thing more visible. I like this.
hey, a pretty good rendering you have there. What renderer did you use? I agree background gives another level of aesthetic for 3D models. But it would've been better if the background has something to do with the object itself. It tells a story in a way. "Picture tells a thousand words" or so they say

WOOOOOOOOOO~~~~ duhhh.........
And the only way to have a background here that says more about the weapon itself is using it's owner, but that's not gonna happen XD
